This is to announce the following week-long event:

    Software tools for mathematics
    22-26 Jan 2018 -- Morelia, Michoacán, México

This meeting will start with a two-day Software Carpentry workshop
with lessons (taught in Spanish) on

  - the Unix shell
  - version control with Git
  - programming with Python

Then, a three-day part on mathematical software (mostly in English)
with presentations of

  - CoCalc - collaborative calculation in the cloud
  - Emacs - extensible and customizable text editor
  - Discreture - iterators for combinatorial objects
  - DiscreteZoo - a repository of discrete objects
  - GAP - Groups, Algorithms, Programming
  - Jupyter - notebooks for exploration and reproducible research
  - PARI/GP - fast computations in number theory
  - SageMath - the Sage mathematics software system
  - TeXmacs - typesetting mathematics and more
  - YAGS - Yet Another Graph System - a GAP package
