[GAP Forum] GAP 3.4.4 on modern linux

Looks like you need to install an older version of gcc. maybe Fedora
provides one, though I doubt it!

Try downloading
gcc-3.2.tar.bz2<http://gcc-uk.internet.bs/old-releases/gcc-3/gcc-3.2.tar.bz2>from
http://gcc-uk.internet.bs/old-releases/gcc-3/.

I'd read...

before I'd continue from there in case I made a mess :). I always make a
