[GAP Forum] GAP's impact on mathematics

Hello:

Although the GAP website has a bibliography,
and an examples page
http://www.gap-system.org/Doc/Examples/examples.html ,
I was looking for a page summarizing some of the
problems GAP has helped resolve.

What are some interesting problems in mathematics
that GAP was instrumental in resolving?
Has GAP resolved any famous conjectures?

Work on Riemann surfaces using "braid", based
on Thomas Breuer's ideas, comes to mind as an example.
Unfortunately, that isn't even mentioned, as far as I
could see.

Anyone else have any favorite applications of GAP?
